With the Gastronomic Guide to migrant Valencia we propose a channel of communication between people and groups from different cultures and origins through their cuisines. We understand migration as a mutual enrichment, a sum of knowledge and an opportunity to improve ourselves individually and collectively. In the same way, we have focused on small restaurants, businesses and projects that support family economies and that often function as meeting places. We conceived the guide from three axes, present throughout the project: migrant, intercultural and community. The main objective is to contribute to the vitality of Valencian society, its neighbourhoods, its streets, through this gastronomic proposal that is festive and also vindicative: we celebrate the gastronomic diversity of our city while at the same time we position ourselves in favour of a society that assumes this diversity as part of its cultural, social and economic wealth.
