Analysis of the impact of Covid-19 on cultural organisations and agents in Spain

Abstract

The Covid-19 crisis has had a tremendous impact on the cultural productive ecosystem in Spain, already threatened by structural precariousness and the dominant models of financial globalisation and productive digitalisation.

In this context, our publication analyses the short- and medium-term impact of Covid-19 on cultural agents and organisations in Spain, the different adaptation strategies developed, as well as the assessment of the role played by public aid and the proposals put forward by the sector itself to overcome this crisis.

The main source of information was the almost 800 responses from cultural agents from all over Spain to the online questionnaire designed by Econcult and distributed between April and May 2020.
