In accordance with the resolution of the Director General for Science and Research, which grants, in 2021, subsidies aimed at improving the training and employability of R&D technical and management personnel through their employment by public research entities, within the framework of the National Youth Guarantee System and co-financed by the European Social Fund and the Youth Employment Initiative, the proposal submitted by Econcult has been selected to receive funding to hire a graduate in International Business, a double degree in Business Administration and Tourism and a double degree in Political Science and Sociology.

In addition to promoting the employability of unemployed young people, these grants are intended to strengthen the research activities of public research centres and the performance of infrastructures, scientific and technical equipment, laboratories or any other facility or service of a general nature or for the common use of the entity, of a scientific and technical nature, or for research management.

The duration of the subsidies will be 12 months, which may be extended for a further 12 months. The start date of the contracts will be determined in the award decision. The extension will be requested and justified by the beneficiary entity, at least four months before the end of the grant, and must be authorised by the head of the Directorate General responsible for science and research. The granting of the extension will be conditional on the existence of adequate and sufficient credit in the corresponding line of the budgetary programme. The contracts shall start on 15 November 2021.

Econcult’s proposal has been included in the grant line with a score of 11.5 out of a possible maximum of 12 points.
